Unlock your Personal Palette!

Korea has paved the way once again for the beauty industry through their introduction of 'colour analysis'. For those who aren't aware of the concept, colour analysis is a process whereby an analyst will have a meeting with a client to figure out what tones and shades of clothes, makeup and hair suits the client's features the most, which are then characterised by season: winter, summer, autumn or spring.
This involves the colourist holding up pieces of fabrics to the client's face, these fabrics will be four of the same colour but with different undertones. For example, a pale client may go and be shown three blues, one with a cooler undertone, one with a warmer undertone and perhaps one with a green undertone, then based on the analyst's professional opinion, one of these blues will 'best suit' the client's features be making them appear more radiant or hiding imperfections. On that same note, some undertones may wash out the client or bring attention to blemishes. Once this is repeated down the colour spectrum – including whether you should be a 'gold or silver girly', the colourist will present you with your personal palette. These colours should harmonise with the client's natural colouring.
You can check which season you are through our 'Colour Analysis' quiz. Remember though, whether you are a true autumn or a warm spring, it doesn't really matter, it is up to you to determine what you wear, and no one can fault you for that. Stay true to yourself!
